Baroque violinist Jin Kim, a native of Korea, studied with Sigiswald Kuijken in Belgium and Ruggiero Ricci at the University of Michigan U.S.A. Since 1993, she has been a member of La Petite Bande, renowned baroque orchestra in Belgium and played concerts around the world and participated in numerous CD recordings in Deutsche Harmonia mundi, Accent label. Ms Kim founded the baroque ensemble Musica Glorifica in 2002 and her concert programs include 17th and 18th century Sonatas, French Dance music, Bach cantatas, Handel's Messiah and entire Mystery sonatas by H.I.Biber. She appears as soloist and ensemble player throughout Europe, Asia and U.S.A. Her recent concerts appearances were Earlymusic Festivals in Flanders Belgium, Amsterdam, Monte-carlo, Ambronay France, Yamanashi Japan, Berkely CA, Hawaii and she regularly appears as a string leader with the Bach Society of Minnesota.
Ms Kim was a winner of Yamanashi International Earlymusic Competition in Japan and received honorable mention at the Brugge Earlymusic Competition in Belgium. She was awarded as a musician of the year from Tochigi Early music Festival.
Ms Kim pioneered early music society in Korea and gave numerous lectures and master classes at the universities in Korea and Japan and taught at the Northwestern University, IL. Her solo CDs 'Psalms for you(17th century Italian music)' and 'Handel Violin Sonatas' were reviewed, “enough to clean our soul with transparent, beautiful and serene sounds” <Mitsui Akira, Sinbo Monthly Review>

Ms Kim was celebrated by MBC TV as one of 50 most accomplished people of Jeolla Province in South Korea and was invited for concerts and commemorating book was published in 2014.
