Musica Glorifica was established in 2002 by Jin Kim, an internationally celebrated Baroque violinist. The ensemble was created to promote historically informed performances for early music lovers around the world.
Since its establishment, Musica Glorifica has grown into a global project dedicated to the repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries and has presented concerts in South Korea, Japan, France and the United States.
Jin Kim started various concert projects with such distinguished artists as the Kuijken brothers, Philippe Pierlot and Marc Hantai among many of her colleagues while early music was an unknown field to the audience in S. Korea. Later, Ms. Kim put efforts to have an active exchange of international musicians including Korean early music players.
Audiences have enjoyed programs centered around the Italian baroque, a program of French baroque dance, larger-scale orchestral music, and a collaboration with a baroque choir.
Ms Kim was invited to give Lecture concert series at the National Asia Culture Center in her hometown Gwangju, Korea since 2019, which gave her opportunities to collaborate early music with Korean traditional dance and jazz music.
In addition to concert series at formal concert halls, Musica Glorifica has also initiated a cafe music series in the spirit of Bach’s cafe Zimmerman that they have entitled “The Road To Bach” since 2013. This series presents music from the entire spectrum of the Baroque leading up to and culminating in the music of Johann Sebastian Bach.
In 2012, Musica Glorifica gave concerts of the entire Mystery Sonatas by H.I.V.Biber in Korea and the U.S.A. to celebrate the 10th anniversary. They gave 3 concert series of J.S. Bach programs in Korea and European tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the group in 2022.
무지카 글로리피카Musica Glorifica는 바로크 바이올리니스트인 김진에 의해 2002년에 설립되었습니다. 전 세계의 고음악 애호가들을 위해, 원전과 사료에 입각한 고음악을 소개하고 공연하는 앙상블입니다. 무지카 글로리피카는 설립 이후 주로 17세기, 18세기의 레퍼토리를 선보이는 글로벌 프로젝트로 성장했으며, 한국, 일본, 프랑스 그리고 미국에서 콘서트를 열었습니다.
한국 관객에게 고음악 분야가 여전히 생소했던 2000년 대 초 김진은 쿠이켄Kuijken 형제, 필리프 피에를로Philippe Pierlot, 마크 앙타이Marc Hantai, 뱅자맹 알라르Benjamin Alard 와 같은 저명한 연주자들과 함께 다양한 콘서트 프로젝트를 시작했습니다. 이후 한국의 고음악연주자들과 해외 연주자들과의 활발한 교류를 위해 노력했습니다.
지난 20년간 무지카 글로리피카는 이탈리아 바로크 시대 음악을중심으로 한 프로그램, 프랑스 바로크 댄스 프로그램, 오케스트라 음악, 바로크 합창단과의 콜라보레이션 및 바로크와 재즈 음악, 바로크 음악과 춤 등의 다양한 프로그램을 선보였습니다.
콘서트 홀에서의 콘서트 시리즈 외에도 무지카 글로리피카는 2013년부터 "The Road To Bach" 및 "The Road Together"라는 이름으로 카페 음악 시리즈를 시작했습니다. Bach의 카페 Zimmerman 정신에 따른 이 시리즈는 요한 제바스티안 바흐의 음악으로 이어지는 바로크 음악의 전체 스펙트럼에 대해, 관객들이 연주자들과의 밀도있는 관계 속에서 체험할 수 있는 기회를 제공했습니다.
2012년, 무지카 글로리피카는 10주년을 기념하여 H.I.V.Biber의 미스터리 소나타 전곡을 한국과 미국에서 공연했고 2022년에는 그룹 창단 20주년을 맞아 바흐의 소나타, 바흐의 스위트, 바흐의 협주곡으로 된 세 프로그램을 한국과 프랑스, 이탈리아에서 연주했습니다..
